Job summary

Flyper in Sharjah is seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead our culinary team at a high-end restaurant. You will create and execute menus, maintain top-quality food standards, and oversee day-to-day kitchen operations.

The role requires strong leadership, the ability to manage a team, control food costs, inventories, and budgets, and a flair for innovative, international cuisine. Experience in fast-paced, luxury environments is essential, with food-safety certification preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as Head Chef in a high-end restaurant or similar setting.
• Strong knowledge of international cuisines; ability to create innovative dishes.
• Proven leadership with ability to manage a team effectively.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Proficient in managing food costs, inventory, and budgeting.
• Food safety certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop menus that are creative, innovative, and meet the highest quality standards.
• Manage kitchen operations including ordering ingredients, supervising preparation, and timely delivery of dishes.
• Train and mentor junior chefs on techniques, plating, and sanitation.
• Maintain inventory levels with regular stock checks and ordering.
• Monitor food costs through portion control and waste minimization.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations at all times.
• Collaborate with management on new concepts or promotions.
