Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Accountant with a strong background in auditing and general accounting to join our finance team. The ideal candidate must have over 5 years of hands-on experience in the UAE, with a solid understanding of local tax regulations (VAT), accounting standards (IFRS), and financial compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Auditing Functions:

Oversee and manage internal and external audits.

Prepare audit schedules, working papers, and documentation.

Ensure compliance with UAE accounting and tax regulations.

Coordinate with external auditors and address audit findings.

Accounting Functions:

Handle end-to-end accounting operations including journal entries, ledger maintenance, and reconciliation.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Conduct variance analysis and financial reporting.

Manage accounts payable and receivable.

Support budgeting and forecasting activities.

Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure timely and accurate VAT filings and compliance with UAE tax laws.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial policies and procedures.

Other Duties:

Assist in process improvement and implementation of financial controls.

Liaise with banks, vendors, and statutory bodies as needed.

Provide financial insights to support decision-making.

Requirements:

Master's in Commerce (MCom) or Inter CA qualification is mandatory.

Minimum 5 years of accounting and audit experience in the UAE.

Strong knowledge of IFRS, UAE VAT laws, and financial compliance.

Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho, or ERP systems).

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
