Job description

As an Excel expert & automation specialist, you will play a pivotal role in revolutionizing our reporting processes through advanced Excel automation techniques. You will collaborate closely with various departments to understand their reporting needs, design automated solutions, and implement efficient workflows to enhance productivity and accuracy. This role requires a combination of technical expertise in Excel, strong analytical skills, and a keen eye for detail.

Report to : Senior Manager – RSSC, MENA

Location : Dubai

Detailed Responsibilities :

  1. Analyzing reporting requirements: Work closely with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements, data sources, and desired outcomes.
  2. Designing automated solutions: Utilize advanced Excel features, including macros, formulas, pivot tables, and VBA programming, to design automated reporting solutions tailored to specific business needs.
  3. Developing efficient workflows: Streamline reporting processes by developing efficient workflows that minimize manual intervention and reduce errors.
  4. Testing and validation: Conduct thorough testing and validation of automated solutions to ensure accuracy, reliability, and compatibility with different data sources.
  5. Documentation and training: Document automation processes, procedures, and best practices. Provide training and support to end-users to facilitate smooth adoption of automated reporting solutions.
  6. Continuous improvement: Stay updated on the latest Excel features and automation techniques. Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and optimization.

Qualifications & Characteristics :

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or related field.
  2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in Excel automation and reporting.
  3. Experience with other data analysis and visualization tools is a plus.
  4. Proficiency in Excel: Extensive experience with Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, data visualization, and macro / VBA programming.
  5. Automation expertise: Proven track record of designing and implementing automated solutions in Excel to streamline reporting processes and improve efficiency.
  6. Analytical skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to understand complex data structures and identify patterns and trends.
  7. Attention to detail: Meticulous attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and data integrity.
  8. Communication skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  9. Continuous learning: A passion for continuous learning and self-improvement, with a proactive attitude towards staying updated on the latest Excel features and automation techniques.
