Role: Events Site Manager

Job Overview:

The Events Site Manager is responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of temporary site infrastructure — including the planning, on-site build, and post-event removal of all temporary structures at Zayed Sports City venues.

The right candidate has a deep understanding of live event site operations and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders under tight deadlines while ensuring safety and quality.

Areas of Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning phase for temporary infrastructure builds, working with internal teams, contractors, and vendors to develop site plans, timelines, and logistical workflows.
• Manage the build and installation of event structures, ensuring that stages, platforms, seating, lounges, fencing, and other temporary components are delivered safely, on time, and to specification.
• Manage and oversee post-event removal, ensuring full dismantling of all temporary infrastructure and proper site restoration.
• Interpret and work from AutoCAD or other technical drawings to ensure precise layout and build execution.
• Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations throughout all phases of the project.
• Coordinate with venue representatives, production teams, and suppliers to maintain seamless operations.
• Ensure all necessary permits and licenses related to temporary structures, site works, and health & safety compliance are applied for, tracked, and obtained on time.
• Monitor and manage contractor performance, budgets, timelines, and site documentation.
• Be present on-site during all key build and breakdown phases to provide oversight, troubleshoot issues, and maintain quality control.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in event management, project management, Event Site Management or relevant degree
• Certification in Health and Safety is desirable
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in major events (example: concerts, sporting, festival)
• Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on experience in managing temporary infrastructure for live events (sports, music festivals, cultural or public events)
• Proven track record in managing contractors, budgets, schedules, and logistics in complex event environments
• Training or experience in interpreting AutoCAD drawings is highly preferred
• Highly organized, solutions-oriented, and able to perform under pressure.
• Availability to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends, during event phases.
