Overview
This role supports a strategic initiative aimed at enhancing collaboration and dialogue between the private sector and key stakeholders across the UAE and internationally. The Events Manager will play a central role in planning and delivering high-level convenings, such as forums, roundtables, and conferences, while supporting relationship management with senior business leaders and influential partners. The successful candidate will be involved in the full lifecycle of event execution, stakeholder engagement, content development, and post-event analysis.
Key Responsibilities
Event Planning and Execution
- Lead the planning, organisation, and delivery of major events in the UAE and internationally.
- Manage logistics including venue selection, catering, AV setup, guest management, and supplier coordination.
- Maintain project timelines, monitor budgets, and ensure smooth delivery of all event components.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Coordinate with private sector partners and key stakeholders to ensure impactful participation in events.
- Liaise with international partners to support global engagement and representation.
- Support efforts to build and strengthen strategic relationships that contribute to event success.
Content Development
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to shape event agendas, talking points, and briefing documents.
- Ensure all content aligns with the initiative’s strategic objectives and resonates with participants.
Project Management
- Oversee multiple events simultaneously, ensuring on-time and high-quality delivery.
- Apply best practices in event and stakeholder management, contributing to continuous improvement.
Reporting and Analysis
- Prepare post-event reports highlighting key takeaways, recommendations, and metrics.
- Collect and analyse feedback to measure effectiveness and inform future planning.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with communications and research teams to support event promotion and integrate relevant data and insights into programming.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Event Management, Business Administration, International Relations, or a related field.
Required Skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience in event management, preferably with exposure to high-level or international audiences.
- Proven track record in organising complex, high-profile events across multiple geographies.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience engaging senior-level stakeholders.
- Ability to draft clear, professional agendas, briefings, and post-event reports.
- Experience managing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and coordinating event logistics.
- Comfortable working in dynamic, fast-paced environments and navigating ambiguity.
- Familiarity with hybrid and virtual event formats.
- Understanding of security considerations for high-profile gatherings.
- Willingness to travel internationally as needed.
