Job Overview
The Event Sales Consultant is responsible for driving revenue growth by expanding reseller partnerships, securing corporate group bookings, and converting private events into confirmed sales at Mercedes Benz Off-Road Experience Centre. This job focuses on both B2B and B2C segments, blending proactive outreach with exceptional client relationship management to achieve ambitious sales targets.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Reseller and OTA Partnership Development
- Identify, target, and secure new reseller agreements with DMCs (Destination Management Companies), ticketing platforms, travel agents, concierge networks, and other relevant OTA channels.
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with key partners, ensuring alignment with Octanium’s brand and service offerings.
Corporate Sales and Group Bookings
- Proactively engage with corporate clients, including HR teams, team-building planners, and event agencies, to position the Off-Road Experience Centre as a premier venue for corporate outings, teambuilding sessions, and incentive events.
- Tailor proposals and presentations to meet the unique needs of each corporate client, highlighting value-added offerings (e.g. catering, branded experiences, exclusive access).
Lead Conversion and Sales Pipeline Management
- Convert inbound and outbound event leads into confirmed venue bookings, maximising opportunities for upselling (e.g. catering, add-ons, exclusive experiences).
- Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline across B2B and B2C segments, ensuring consistent flow of leads and opportunities.
- Manage the entire sales cycle, from lead generation and qualification through contract negotiation and post-event follow-up.
Commercial Proposal Development
- Craft compelling, customized commercial proposals and presentations that resonate with diverse client segments, including corporates, tourism operators, and event planners.
- Ensure proposals reflect the unique value proposition of Octanium’s Off-Road Experience Centre, addressing client needs and highlighting differentiators.
Client Relationship Management
- Deliver exceptional client service throughout the sales process, ensuring high levels of satisfaction, repeat business, and referrals.
- Gather post-event feedback and collaborate with operations teams to continuously improve the event experience.
CRM and Reporting
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records for all accounts, leads, and sales activities.
- Provide regular reports on sales KPIs, lead source performance, conversion rates, and market insights to the Sales & Business Development Manager.
Industry Engagement and Brand Representation
- Represent the Off-Road Experience Centre at trade shows, sales calls, networking events, and industry gatherings to build brand awareness and drive bookings.
- Stay informed of industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify new opportunities for growth.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with the marketing team to align sales efforts with marketing campaigns, seasonal promotions, and digital activations.
- Coordinate with the operations team to ensure availability, resource allocation, and seamless event execution.
General
- Uphold company values throughout business practices and utilise sound judgment in decision making.
- Any other additional duties as may be required by management based on needs of the business.
Position Requirements
- A minimum 3-5 years of experience in event sales, attraction sales, or hospitality sales, preferably within the UAE market
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Experience in developing and managing reseller partnerships is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
