We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Events Specialist to join our Marketing and Communication team. The Events Specialist will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of a wide range of internal and external corporate and academic events. This is a managerial-level role requiring strategic oversight, strong organizational skills, budget management, and the ability to build lasting relationships with partners and vendors.
Key Responsibilities
Corporate & Academic Events Management
- Develop, manage, and execute comprehensive event project plans, including presentations, exhibitions, and sponsorship activations.
- Plan and oversee logistics for corporate and academic events, conferences, and internal functions.
- Secure approvals and manage detailed budgets for all events, including vendor contracts, catering, entertainment, venue logistics, and promotional items.
- Act as the primary liaison for corporate internships, job fairs, and strategic event partnerships.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with sponsors, external vendors, and institutional collaborators.
Operational Support
- Lead event documentation, including proposals, budgets, timelines, and post-event reporting.
- Coordinate with internal departments and support teams, including the Community & Outreach Department, as needed.
- Manage event spaces, including oversight of bookings for the Red Theatre.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in educational marketing or event management, preferably within a private university in the UAE.
- Expertise in CRM systems for marketing and advertising, with proven ability to track ROI and engagement.
- Preference given to candidates with a Canadian educational or professional background.
Technical & Soft Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat).
- Strong planning, organizing, and multitasking capabilities.
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
- Arabic or French language skills are an asset.
