Responsibilities

• Function as a design engineer for routine corrections.
• Prepare average complexity original mechanical layouts using the CAD system.
• Utilize CAD system for high-complexity and average-complexity product drawings.
• Ensure accuracy of assignments under project engineer's guidance.
• Understand ANSI / Schlumberger drafting methods and standards.
• Knowledge of Schlumberger manufacturing processes and techniques.
• Maintain status reports on all assigned projects.

Job description

The CAD Designer is responsible for preparing and maintaining engineering or sustaining project design layouts, production drawings, and other related documentation per ANSI / Schlumberger standards, considering methods of manufacture and tolerance and their effect on related parts or assemblies.

Responsibilities:

1. Function as a design engineer for routine corrections.
2. Prepare average complexity original mechanical layouts using the CAD system.
3. Depending on seniority, use the CAD system to prepare and maintain high-complexity mechanical and average-complexity electrical and electronic product and production drawings from layouts or verbal instructions.
4. Ensure accuracy of assignments, except for design features that are the responsibility of the project engineer.
5. Understand ANSI / Schlumberger drafting methods, standards, and procedures.
6. Understand Schlumberger manufacturing processes and techniques, and interpretation of ANSI / Schlumberger standards and procedures.
7. Possess basic knowledge of the mechanical and, depending on seniority, partial to comprehensive knowledge of the electrical and electronic Product Line.
8. Maintain status reports on all assigned projects.
