Job summary

Group AMANA, based in Dubai, seeks an experienced Estimator to manage tender documentation and prepare accurate BOQs for complex projects. You will use estimation software, generate RFIs/RFQs, and coordinate with operations to ensure competitive bids and timely tender submissions.

This role involves detailed quantity takeoffs, value engineering, and ensuring alignment with drawings and specifications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on tendering experience, strong analysis skills, and the

Responsibilities

• Handle tender documents administration (stamping, filing).
• Operate estimation software and update tendering log.
• Provide basic rate build-up.
• Visualize drawings and conceptualize mentally in 3D.
• Generate and follow-up on RFI and RFQ.
• Prepare comparison sheet per item.
• Prepare complete scope breakdown: differentiate scope, calculate quantity, provide accurate unit rate.
• Understand components of a whole tender document.
• Understand sequence of constructing project.
• Suggest reasonable supplier/subcontractor discount levels for managers' approval.
• Assist in developing techniques/strategies to expedite tendering from quantity surveying to Estimation Sheets.
• Diligently manage proper tender document administration of one/two full tender.
• Maintains transparent RFI and RFQ management of one/two full tender.
• Verifies the correct scope, quantities and rates of the estimate of one tender.
• Authorizes credible comparison sheets of one tender.
• Demonstrates knowledge in filling a BOQ.
• Provides Chief/Senior Estimator with relevant info to prepare Tender Review Pack.
• Translates studies for value analysis into value engineering of one tender.
• Identifies contradictions between drawings, specifications, BOQ.
• Identifies critical items requiring Operations support and highlights to Chief Estimator.
