Job summary

Personio in Dubai seeks an experienced Project Estimator focused on interior fit-out, exhibitions and scenic construction to ensure cost accuracy from tender to completion. You will collaborate with PM, Procurement, and Estimation teams to optimize budgets and value.

The role requires BoQ development, market pricing understanding, and strong Excel skills to support multiple turnkey projects in the events and entertainment sector.

Qualifications

• Experience as Estimator or Project Controller on interior fit-out and events.
• Experience estimating interior fit-out with market pricing knowledge.
• Strong cost planning and tendering process understanding.
• Knowledge of the German Construction Contract Procedures (VOB) is an advantage.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and project budgets for interior fit-out, live events and exhibitions, and scenic construction packages.
• Develop concise Bills of Quantities (BoQs) and structured work packages during the tendering phase.
• Analyse and benchmark subcontractor quotations to ensure competitive pricing and optimum commercial value.
• Carry out value engineering exercises in collaboration with the Technical Planning team to optimise costs while maintaining design intent and quality standards.
• Review and evaluate subcontractor variations and change requests.
• Work closely with Project Management, Procurement, Technical Planning, and other estimators throughout the project lifecycle.
