Job summary

Careers International is seeking a cost estimator in Dubai to prepare estimates and Bills of Quantities for projects. You will assist in feasibility studies, move from minimal design information to detailed cost plans, and interface with clients and consultants in the pre‑award stage.

In this role, you will coordinate with suppliers and clients to optimize costs during project execution, monitor cost variations, and certify supplier invoices.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil/Mechanical Engineering required.
• Proficient in estimation software and cost planning.
• Minimum 3 years experience in furniture/upholstery/curtain sectors.
• Strong AutoCAD, SketchUp, Excel and 3Ds Max skills.

Job description

• Preparing estimates and Bill of Quantities for projects received.
• Assisting with the production feasibility studies and estimates from minimal designinformation, through to detailed cost plans.
• Interfacing with the clients and consultants in the pre award stage.
• All major strategic procurement from identification of approved materials, verifying quantities as per the plan v/s actual.
• Working closely with suppliers and clients to improve operation and reduce probable costs while project executions.
• Coordination with the operation manager and the BDE.
• Coordinating with procurement advising on supply constraints, forecast information or products, recommendation on alternative products, push through scheduling of orders, reports on order status etc.
• Monitors and prepares cost variations.
• Verifies & certifies suppliers and vendor's invoices and quotes.

Requirements

• Diploma in Civil/Mechanical Engineering
• Excellent knowledge in estimation software
• Min 3years work experience in Furniture/upholstery/curtain companies
• Excellent knowledge in AutoCAD, Sketch-up, XL, and 3Ds max.
• Good contact in the UAE market.
