Job summary

Bin Dhaen Interiors in Dubai is seeking a detail-oriented Estimator to join our Interior Design & Fit-Out team. You will convert drawings and specifications into accurate, competitive cost estimates across residential, commercial, hospitality and retail fit-out projects.

Key responsibilities include tender scoping, take-offs, supplier pricing, and value engineering to protect margins, with collaboration across design, procurement and site teams in a fast-paced workflow.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil/Architectural Engineering, Interior Design, or related field.
• 3–6 years of estimating experience, ideally within interior fit-out, joinery, or contracting.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and estimation software (e.g. CostX, Bluebeam, PlanSwift).
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD to interpret and measure from drawings.
• Sharp numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills to coordinate across design, procurement, and site teams.
• UAE market experience preferred; familiarity with Dubai Municipality/Trakhees approval processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs from architectural, joinery, MEP, and finishes drawings
• Compile competitive, well-substantiated cost estimates within tight tender timelines
• Source and evaluate pricing from subcontractors, joinery workshops, and material suppliers
• Maintain an up-to-date database of material, labour, and specialist trade rates
• Propose value engineering alternatives that protect design intent and project margins
• Support post-tender negotiations and handover of awarded projects to the delivery team
