Job summary

Tanqeeb in Dubai seeks an experienced Estimator within the Interior Fit-Out industry to prepare BOQs, quotations, take-offs and cost estimates for projects.

The role requires UAE experience, Civil or MEP estimation knowledge, proficiency in AutoCAD/PlanSwift, and strong coordination with design, procurement and project teams.

Qualifications

• Experience: 5–8 years in UAE as Estimator in Interior Fit-Out.
• Civil or MEP estimation background depending on position.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, MEP Engineering, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of interior fit-out methods, materials, and cost management; FF/FA experience is a plus for MEP.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, PlanSwift or other estimation software; MS Office.
• Excellent attention to detail in measurements, BOQs and cost estimation.
• Strong written and verbal communication with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Previous UAE interior fit-out market experience.
• Valid UAE driving license is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist tender submissions and ensure all documentation and commercial conditions are met.
• Maintain cost databases for materials, labour and subcontractor rates.

• Review Architectural and MEP drawings, specifications, and tender documents to identify project requirements and potential challenges.




• Collect as built information from the site inspection and as built drawings.




• Preparation of list of commercial and technical queries and request RFI to Client / Consultant.




• Source quotations from vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors, and negotiate to secure competitive pricing.




• Take-off measurements accurately to ensure precise quantity estimation.




• Coordinate with design, procurement, and project management teams to ensure completeness of scope and cost inputs.




• Prepare detailed BOQs, including materials, labour, subcontractor costs, and other project-related expenses.




• Preparation of Value engineering calculation (Cost option) based on Client’s budget constraints.




• Assist in tender submissions, ensuring all documentation and commercial conditions are met.




• Maintain cost databases for materials, labour, and subcontractor rates.

Desired Candidate Profile

1. Experience: At least 5 to 8 years of UAE experience as an Estimator within the Interior Fit-Out industry, with strong experience in preparing BOQs, quotations, measurements, take-offs, and cost estimates. Candidates should have a Civil or MEP estimation background, depending on the position.




2. Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, MEP Engineering, or a related field.




3. Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of interior fit-out construction methods, materials, and cost management, with expertise in either Civil/Architectural works or MEP systems (HVAC, Electrical, and Plumbing). Experience with Fire Fighting and Fire Alarm (FF/FA) systems is an advantage for MEP candidates.




4. Software Skills: Proficient in AutoCAD, PlanSwift, or other relevant estimation/take-off software, as well as MS Office Suite.




5. Attention to Detail: Strong accuracy in measurements, quantity take-offs, BOQs, and cost estimation.




6. Communication: Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.




7. UAE Market Experience: Previous experience in the UAE interior fit-out market is required.




8. Driving License: Valid UAE driving license is an advantage.
