Job summary

A leading company in Dubai is seeking an experienced Estimator to lead their estimation team for infrastructure power transmission projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil or electrical engineering, exceptional analytical and leadership skills, and a thorough understanding of cost structures and tendering processes. This role requires immediate availability and involves liaising with vendors, preparing detailed cost breakdowns, and assisting in post-tender negotiations.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of UAE/GCC experience in estimation.
• Strong knowledge of tendering procedures.
• Availability to join immediately or on short notice.

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the estimation team in preparing accurate cost estimates for large-scale infrastructure power transmission or construction projects.
  

• Review tender documents drawings and specifications to determine project scope and requirements.
  

• Develop BOQs material take-offs and cost breakdowns for civil electrical and MEP components.
  

• Liaise with vendors and subcontractors for accurate pricing and technical clarifications.
  

• Work closely with project managers procurement and planning teams to finalise bid strategies.
  

• Analyse risks and identify cost-saving alternatives or value engineering options.
  

• Prepare and present cost summaries and tender submissions to senior management.
  

• Monitor post-tender clarifications and assist in contract negotiations when required.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor s degree in Engineering (Civil / Electrical / Mechanical) or equivalent.
  

• 8 10 years of UAE/GCC experience in estimation within Infrastructure Power Electrical or Construction Building industries.
  

• Strong knowledge of cost structures technical drawings and tendering procedures.
  

• Proficiency in estimation software (Candy CCS Excel AutoCAD).
  

• Excellent analytical communication and leadership skills.
  

• Must be available to join immediately or on short notice.
