Job Description:

The Estimation Manager will lead the estimation and tendering process for contracting projects, ensuring accurate, competitive, and timely cost proposals. This role requires close coordination with the technical, procurement, planning, and commercial teams to evaluate project requirements and develop comprehensive bid submissions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the preparation of cost estimates for civil, infrastructure, and MEP works across various contracting projects.
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and project documents to develop comprehensive pricing strategies.
• Review tender documents, scope of work, and client requirements to prepare competitive bids.
• Raise RFI’s for missing items and any other clarifications that are required to complete the tender documentation.
• Arrange site visits to understand and study the project surroundings and to plan the logistics.
• Allocate and supervise estimation team tasks and ensure high-quality and timely submissions.
• Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to obtain accurate quotations and market pricing.
• Conduct risk analysis and value engineering to optimize cost-efficiency and project feasibility.
• Coordinate with planning and engineering teams to align estimates with construction methodologies and timelines.
• Participate in bid clarification meetings, negotiations, and post-tender follow-ups.
• Maintain a cost database and historical pricing records for future reference.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure alignment with market trends and company targets.
• Monitor and improve internal estimation procedures and tools.
• Present the bid top sheet to the management and obtain management approval before bid submission.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in cost estimation/tendering.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and market pricing.
• Proven track record in managing medium to large-scale project tenders.
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
• Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Experience in estimating for projects valued over 100 million AED.
• Familiarity with FIDIC and local contract regulations.
