Job Description

Job Purpose

The MEP Estimation Engineer - Mechanical is responsible for reviewing HVAC, Plumbing & Fire Fighting Drawings, Scope of Works, relevant standards, tender documents, and preparing Bill of Quantities for materials and resources. The role includes preparing Mechanical cost estimations for MEP projects across Residential, Commercial, Fitouts, and Industrial Buildings. ESCO-related Mechanical estimations are also to be prepared aligning with project requirements.

Job Responsibilities

• Planning & Management: Prepare project HVAC, Plumbing & Fire Fighting scope summaries based on tender documents and plan estimation activities accordingly.
• Coordination Activities: Coordinate with Estimation Manager and Engineers for scope clarification and precise Bill of Quantities. Liaise with Supply Chain for obtaining offers. Assist in bid submission preparations.
• MEP Detailed Works: Prepare accurate Bills of Quantities and cost estimates for HVAC, Plumbing & Fire Fighting works, including labor, plant, and equipment, in line with technical specifications.
• Integration with ESCO: Collaborate with ESCO team to incorporate energy-saving measures into materials and resource lists.
• Professional Development: Enhance knowledge in MEP estimation activities and collaborate with related teams.
• Associated Tasks: Review tender documents, drawings, and specifications; assess requirements; attend site visits.

Job Requirements

Qualifications: Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering

Experience: 5 to 7 years in estimating MEP projects HVAC, Plumbing & Fire Fighting, preferably in the UAE or GCC countries. Experience in MEP companies, estimation departments, and proficiency with PlanSwift, HVAC Design, Carrier HAP, etc.

Knowledge & Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines, excellent communication and teamwork skills, ESCO industry experience is advantageous.
