The Estimation Coordinator supports the tendering and bidding process by preparing accurate cost estimates, coordinating with internal departments, and ensuring timely submission of project proposals. This role is essential in managing estimation documentation, analyzing technical drawings, and liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing. Working in a fast-paced environment, the Estimation Coordinator helps streamline the estimation workflow and contributes to the company's ability to win new business in compliance with UAE regulations and industry standards.

Responsibilities:

  1. Preparing detailed cost estimates for projects by reviewing tender documents, drawings, and specifications.
  2. Coordinating with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to gather required technical and commercial data.
  3. Communicating with vendors and subcontractors to request quotations and clarify technical details.
  4. Compiling, organizing, and maintaining estimation files, including cost breakdowns and pricing sheets.
  5. Assisting in the preparation and timely submission of tender documents, proposals, and pre-qualification documents.
  6. Updating the estimation database with new cost information and market trends.
  7. Ensuring compliance with company procedures, client requirements, and UAE tender regulations.
  8. Supporting post-tender negotiations by providing clarification and breakdowns when required.
  9. Monitoring deadlines and coordinating efforts to ensure timely completion of all estimation tasks.
  10. Participating in internal meetings to discuss estimation strategies and project feasibility.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Business Administration, or a related field.
  2. Minimum 2-4 years of experience in estimation, tendering, or project coordination within construction, engineering, or manufacturing sectors.
  3. Strong knowledge of estimation practices, cost analysis, and tender documentation processes.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel; experience with estimation software is an advantage.
  5. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  6. Good communication and interpersonal skills for internal collaboration and external coordination.
  7. High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and numerical data.
  8. Familiarity with UAE construction industry regulations and supplier networks is preferred.
