What Does an Escrow Account Services Specialist Do?
This role involves overseeing the setup, compliance, and reporting of real estate Escrow accounts in alignment with UAE regulatory authorities such as RERA, DUPM, and RAK-RERA. The specialist will ensure that all Escrow processes meet regulatory standards and that clients and stakeholders receive timely and accurate support throughout the Escrow lifecycle.
What Are the Key Responsibilities?
- Facilitate the opening of Main and Retention Escrow accounts in coordination with CAD and real estate regulatory authorities
- Liaise with developers, auditors, and regulators to gather documentation and finalize audit reports based on agreed scopes
- Update regulators and internal systems (e.g., TAS) with Escrow account details and project information
- Monitor developer requests received through regulatory portals and validate their compliance with UAE Escrow laws
- Support CIB and select Business Banking clients with their Escrow-related needs
- Collaborate with GTB Advisory, Payment Centre, Client Services, Operations, and Relationship Managers to ensure a smooth onboarding and servicing process
- Educate clients on UAE Escrow regulations, rights, and obligations
- Assist in reviewing client agreements and service-level terms to ensure alignment with regulatory and internal compliance standards
What Skills Are Needed for This Role in Abu Dhabi?
Education and Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Escrow services, banking operations, or project finance
- Previous exposure to corporate banking, real estate development, or GTB products preferred
Technical Skills:
- Deep knowledge of UAE Escrow laws and regulatory practices
- Strong understanding of cash management, electronic banking platforms, and regulatory portals
- Proficiency in English (business-level fluency is essential)
Interpersonal Skills:
- Excellent customer service and client engagement skills
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities with both internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work independently with attention to detail and regulatory precision
