Key Responsibilities
Pre-IPO Research Preparation:
- Draft detailed pre-IPO research reports and information memoranda based on company filings, management interviews, and investor guidelines
- Work closely with investment banking teams, company management, and other stakeholders to ensure accuracy, clarity, and regulatory compliance
Valuation and Financial Analysis:
- Conduct fundamental analysis of companies including financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario analysis
- Apply valuation methodologies such as DCF, relative valuation (P/E, EV/EBITDA), sum-of-the-parts, NAV, etc.
- Benchmark valuation against regional and global peers
Investor Engagement:
- Participate in investor roadshows, presentations, and Q&A sessions
- Articulate investment rationale and valuation insights to institutional and high-net-worth clients
- Incorporate investor feedback into research materials and valuation sensitivities
Industry & Market Analysis:
- Develop deep understanding of assigned sectors by tracking trends, regulatory updates, competitive positioning, and macroeconomic drivers
- Maintain and regularly update sector models and databases
Collaboration & Communication:
- Collaborate with ECM, DCM, and Corporate Finance teams on capital markets transactions
- Liaise with compliance and legal teams to ensure adherence to regulatory frameworks (especially in pre-IPO quiet periods)
- Present findings to internal stakeholders, senior management, and clients
Work experience:
- Exposure to GCC capital markets and understanding of local listing regulations
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field; CFA qualification preferred
- 5+ years of experience in equity research, investment banking, or valuation advisory, with exposure to pre-IPO work
