Overview
Telephone Operator – to guarantee strong product knowledge of hotel services and centers, provide effective service to resort visitors, refine inbound and outbound calls per the telephone SOP, and support related duties within the resort's operations.
Responsibilities
- Ensure strong product knowledge of hotel services and centers to deliver quality service to resort visitors.
- Handle inbound and outbound calls accurately and courteously in accordance with the telephone SOP.
- Maintain knowledge of each Department Head’s function and identify team participants within the resort.
- Preserve a log of all awakened calls and ensure they are completed quickly and properly per SOP.
- Have complete knowledge of functions related to the Telephone Operator role in Opera.
- Be aware of day-to-day resort operations to efficiently address guest queries.
- Monitor the switchboard system and record any non-functional equipment.
- Assist guests with international calls and other queries.
- Manage management phone call coupons and log them on the traffic sheet; take messages as required.
- Make or log calls to the doctor as requested by the Duty Manager and document accordingly.
- Familiarize with resort promos and motif nights, and F&B outlet timings; assist guests in locating outlets.
- Be able to seat or direct a guest to appropriate outlets.
- Understand emergency procedures and bomb hazard protocols, and respond to emergencies via the appropriate channels.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience with hotel telephone operations and Opera system.
- Ability to handle day-to-day resort operations and guest inquiries efficiently.
- Good communication skills and a customer-service orientation.
