Position: Environmental Manager

About Our Client:

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement environmental policies and procedures in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations

- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations

- Identify potential environmental risks and develop strategies to mitigate them

- Monitor and track environmental performance metrics and report findings to senior management

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure environmental considerations are integrated into business decisions and processes

- Stay up-to-date on environmental laws and regulations and communicate any changes or updates to relevant stakeholders

- Manage relationships with external environmental agencies and consultants

- Develop and deliver environmental training programs for employees to raise awareness and promote best practices

- Lead the development and implementation of sustainability initiatives to reduce the company's environmental footprint

- Conduct environmental impact assessments for new projects and provide recommendations for mitigating potential negative impacts

- Manage the company's waste management program and ensure proper disposal of hazardous materials

- Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of environmental permits and licenses

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental management or a similar role

- In-depth knowledge of local, state, and federal environmental laws and regulations

- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders

- Proven experience in developing and implementing environmental policies and procedures

- Experience conducting environmental audits and managing relationships with external agencies and consultants

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and compliance

- Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

- Proficient in Microsoft Office and environmental management software
