Job summary

KBR, Inc. in Abu Dhabi, UAE, seeks an experienced Environmental Engineer for PMC oversight of environmental management within a major development framework.

The role supports the Environmental and Sustainability Manager, coordinating with consultants and contractors to ensure compliance with ALDAR EMS and UAE regulations while promoting best practices and proactive environmental performance. The successful candidate will have a strong background in environmental management for construction

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related science.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in environmental management in the construction industry.
• ISO 14001 EMS Lead Auditor certification.
• Experience of previous work within ALDAR EMS is preferred.
• Preferred is experience in Project Management Consultancy (PMC) or related consultancy.
• Minimum 5 years of Middle East work experience, Abu Dhabi experience preferred.
• Excellent report writing skills and experienced user of MS Office and Primavera
• Fluency in English language both written and spoken, Arabic speaking advantageous.

• Provides guidance and support to the project team on all environmental requirements, addressing environmental concerns and assisting in the resolution of related issues.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly environmental project monitoring plan

THE ROLE

Assists the KBR Environmental and Sustainability Manager in overseeing daily operations related to effective implementation of environmental management system requirements throughout the program of operations.

This role necessitates proactive monitoring and coordination with consultants and contractors to support compliance, advance environmental initiatives, and promote best practices in alignment with ALDAR Environmental Management System, relevant regulatory requirements and KBR’s corporate philosophy of Zero Harm & Courage to Care.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

• ISO 1401 Environmental Management Systems (EMS) Lead Auditor certification.
• Experience of previous work within ALDAR EMS is preferred.
• Preferred is experience in Project Management Consultancy (PMC) or related consultancy.
