Job summary

KBR in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Lead Environment Engineer (Social Occupational Health) for a PMC LNG project. The role requires extensive oil & gas experience and a strong lead track record. You will drive ESHIA efforts, uphold ADNOC HSE standards, and guide site teams to ensure safe, compliant operations.

Based in Abu Dhabi, you will participate in audits, support design inputs, and promote a proactive safety culture across diverse stakeholders and the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and relevant licensure.
• 20+ years oil & gas experience with LNG exposure.
• 8+ years in a lead role on large projects.
• Experience in ESHIA development and ADNOC standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of Environmental Social Health Impact Assessments (ESHIA).
• Ensure compliance with ADNOC HSE Standards and AGES requirements.
• Participate in audits and site-based assurance activities.
• Provide health and social input to design drawings and modifications.
• Support emergency preparedness and HSE programs on site.

Job Requirement

KBR is looking for a Lead Environment Engineer (Social Occupational Health) with LNG experience to be based in Abu Dhabi for a PMC project.

Experience required

• Minimum Overall 20 years of oil & gas experience.
• Minimum 8years of experience in a Lead role.
• Experience within EPC phase of LNG projects.
• Lead on the development of Environmental Social Health Impact Assessments (ESHIA)
• Participate in development of ADNOC HSE Standards and AGES requirements Execute Plant Operations and Project Divisions work and monitor compliance to ADNOC HSE requirements.
• Participate in sitebased assurance activities to verify occupational health and social impact control measures are in place and functioning as expected.
• Provide Occupational Health and Social Impact input to technical design and procedural proposals to ensure that designs drawings and modifications to plant equipment installations can be conducted in accordance with ADNOC & International Standards.
• Participate in Audits according to plan & verify implementation of assurance programs.
• Conduct Hazard Identification and Risk Management practices in all operating activities.
• Facilitates a twoway communication culture where employees can openly report HSE noncompliances.
• Support ongoing Health Safety and Environment programs aimed at achieving and maintaining agreed HSEMS expectations and objectives.
• Well conversant of establishing the ADNOC One ERP
• Ensure tools and equipment being used at site meets ADNOC HSE requirements.
• Ensures all work is carried out in accordance with project HSE Plans and KPIs
• Support emergency preparedness: awareness equipment systems etc. as per emergency plans.
• Support the emergency fire and rescue and onscene team in their activities to overcome the incidents.
• Keeps abreast of developments and changes in Government administrative and regulations.
• Support ADNOC Leadership to drive a positive safety culture at site.
• Participates in leadership HSE walkthroughs of the site
• Safeguard own Health and Safety as well as that of the fellow employees by paying attention to safe work practices maintaining a safe work environment and complying with applicable HSE requirements.
• Take action to INTERVENE and STOP any unsafe activity or noncompliance with HSE requirements if witnessed and report the incident regardless of your position or that of the transgressor.
• Must have at least 15 Years experience working in Onshore and offshore projects.
• Bachelors degree in engineering is a must.
