Miral is seeking an Entertainment Technical Stage Technician in Abu Dhabi to support live performances. You will assist with setup/teardown of audio, lighting, and visual gear, collaborate with stage managers and directors, and help ensure seamless scene transitions.

The role requires a strong interest in technology, the ability to troubleshoot on the fly, and the stamina to work long hours including evenings and weekends as needed for performances.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Good spoken English.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in live event production.
• Familiar with stage directions.
• Keen interest in technology.
• Proven ability in troubleshooting is a plus.

Responsabilidades

ROLE SCOPE

• Equipment Setup and Operation i Assist in the setup and teardown of audio lighting and visual equipment according to production requirements Able to assist with the technical equipment set up and tear down during rehearsals and live performances including soundboards lighting consoles and special effects devices
• Stage Support i Work closely with stage managers directors and fellow technicians to ensure smooth scene transitions and set changes Safely move props scenery and equipment on and off the stage during performances
• Maintenance and Repairs i Assist in troubleshooting and addressing technical issues as they arise both during rehearsals and live shows
• Safety and Compliance i Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to protect the well-being of the cast crew and performers Safely handle and store equipment props and materials in accordance with safety standards
• Communication i Maintain effective communication with production teams stage managers and other crew members Follow cues and instructions accurately to ensure precise timing during performances
• Equipment Inventory i Assist tracking of technical equipment and supplies inventory report any shortages or damages to supervisors Assist with the loading and unloading of equipment for transportation to and from venues

QUALIFICATIONS

Essential

High school diploma or equivalent Good spoken English Good understanding of English Minimum 1-2 years of experience in live event production Familiar with the stage directions Keen interest in technology. Familiar with latest technologies and implementation. Proven ability in troubleshooting is a plus. Problem solving skills is a plus Able to adhere to strict timelines. Clear understanding of both written and spoken English. Computer skills. Able to spend long hours standing if required. Ability to lift at least 25 kg.

Desirable

Technical theater training and knowledge is advantageous Interested in technical aspects of live entertainment, including audio, lighting, and stagecraft. Physically fit and able to lift and handle heavy equipment at least (25kg). Detail-oriented with a problem-solving mindset A willingness to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, to support live performances. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing production demands. Electronics or Electrical Certificate is advantageous. Keen interest in growing your career Theater or live events background Have a theater background Basic knowledge on events People person who works well alone and as part of a larger team. Self-motivated and wants to get the job done.
