As a Senior Sales Leader at AWS, you will build and lead a high-impact, diverse team of Account Managers responsible for growing and accelerating adoption of AWS services across Sub-Saharan Africa. You will collaborate with partners to scale and enhance customer success. The ideal candidate will have a background in sales and people management, along with a strong technical understanding of cloud and digital services. Experience working with large multi-national companies to drive better business outcomes through technology adoption is essential. You should be adept at engaging with CxO level executives and Business Unit leaders, understanding their industry challenges and speaking their language.

Key job responsibilities
The successful candidate will manage the career development of the team, coach for high performance, and collaborate effectively with functions including Solution Architecture, Partner Success and Development, Business Development, Marketing, Sales Operations, and Product Teams. Leading and influencing cross-functional global teams in a dynamic environment is essential, as many responsibilities will involve interdependencies with other AWS teams.
Extensive experience in technology sales and successful leadership in growth-oriented sales roles within the technology sector are required. Strong sales, analytical, synthesis, structuring, and problem-solving skills are necessary to translate ambiguous information into actionable plans. A bias for invention and simplification, stakeholder management, program management skills, and a customer-obsessed, collaborative approach are vital. The role also requires a passion for narrative-style business planning and programmatic initiatives. You will help build and execute AWS sales strategies across Sub-Saharan Africa and should be comfortable in highly visible executive settings where your perspective and results will be scrutinized.
