A leading company in the chemical sector is seeking a skilled engineer to design and maintain chemical process equipment. This role involves collaboration with engineers on installations, improvements, and preventive maintenance, ensuring quality and efficiency in operations. Ideal candidates will have a technical background and strong problem-solving abilities.
Participates in the design, fabrication and testing of prototype chemical process equipment. May have a focus on process or electro-mechanical systems design. Works closely with engineers on equipment installation and construction. Maintains and calibrates equipment and tools.
• Identifies, recommends and assists in the execution of improvements to the equipment, procedures, and test methods and data analysis.• Participates in the design and builds and assembles prototype chemical process equipment and sub-assemblies, including plumbing and electrical components. • Installs and de-installs equipment involving various manufacturing equipment and electrical expansions. Uses drawings and sketches. • Assists engineers in developing, improving and testing system automation and electrical processes, chemical plant processes and equipment. • Repairs and maintains prototype chemical processing equipment. Calibrates and tests testing equipment. Maintains preventive maintenance schedule.• Documents technical specifications and updates manuals. • Works on special projects as assigned.• Supports efforts to implement and maintain the Responsible Care Management System in line with the requirements of the RC14001 technical specification, as applicable to the site/region.

Education/Experience
• Formal technical training beyond High School.• 3-5 years related experience.
