Job description

At Emirates Engineering Training, we are committed to inspiring and equipping aviation professionals with the highest level of expertise. Situated within the state-of-the-art Emirates Engineering Maintenance Centre, our college offers comprehensive training in basic and aircraft-type maintenance.

Our advanced facilities and hands-on workshops, led by expert instructors, provide a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical experience. Our Basic AME License Training is approved by UAE GCAA and EASA. We offer training and exams to UAE Nationals and external candidates.

As a GCAA-CAR 147 MTO, we also provide Practical Maintenance Experience (PME) to meet CAR 66 requirements. We are dedicated to nurturing your skills and confidence, preparing you to excel in the dynamic world of aviation.

The Engineering Technical Workshop Instructor will conduct and supervise the practical training of the Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Licence (AMEL) program. The instructor will oversee basic workshop training and exercises for UAE National trainees and, where required, conduct classroom training.

In this Role you will:
  1. Conduct practical workshop training in accordance with General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) and European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) regulations to enable Emirates Engineering trainees to acquire their Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Licence.
  2. Promote safety during practical training and ensure all safety precautions are followed in accordance with regulatory and company standards.
  3. Assess and review trainees' performance, providing feedback to both the Basic Training Manager and the trainees.
  4. Maintain all workshop equipment and training aids to ensure they are serviceable.
  5. Manage the inventory of consumables and ensure timely ordering of required spares to maintain availability.
  6. Deliver basic classroom instruction as needed, including creating presentation materials and student notes.
  7. Undertake special projects as directed to enhance training, safety, or productivity.
  8. Ensure theoretical elements of classroom training are effectively integrated during practical sessions to maximize trainee learning.
Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Vocational diploma or equivalent (12+2 years of education).
  • Minimum of 3+ years' practical experience in Mechanical Engineering, Avionic Engineering, or similar as an aircraft mechanic in machine shop, welding shop, engine shop, or avionics workshop on modern aircraft.
  • Knowledge of GCAA/EASA Part 147, category A, sub-category B1 and B2 requirements.
