Engineering Team Lead (Authentication Team)

We seek an experienced Team Lead to oversee Authentication and Identity Management initiatives. You will manage the development and deployment of authentication systems, including identity management, two-factor authentication, OTPs, and related services. This role combines technical leadership with team development, ideal for a leader with a strong technical background and passion for scaling teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead a team developing core authentication features such as IAM, credentials management, 2FA, OTP, and user account management.
  2. Build a new team from scratch, including recruiting, mentoring, and managing team members.
  3. Collaborate with product and engineering teams to design secure, scalable authentication solutions for B2B and B2C use cases.
  4. Manage the development of authentication flows, ensuring high standards of security, scalability, and user experience.
  5. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.
  6. Lead efforts to transition from legacy monolithic code to modern microservices architecture.
  7. Address business challenges like trusted devices and keypass, integrating solutions for improved authentication.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in backend software development, especially in Golang and backend-driven design.
  • Strong leadership skills, including team building, mentoring, and management.
  • Hands-on experience with authentication systems such as IAM, 2FA, OTP, and user account management.
  • Experience designing large-scale system architectures and migrating from monolith to microservices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, especially with legacy code.
  • Knowledge of security best practices in authentication and identity management.
