Job summary

Avani Palm View Dubai Hotel & Suites is seeking an Engineering Coordinator to support daily engineering operations, coordinate maintenance activities, and ensure work orders are completed efficiently.

The role acts as the main liaison between the Engineering team, other departments, and external contractors, maintaining records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with hotel policies and safety standards.

You will assist with audits and energy monitoring to help optimise facilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily maintenance requests and assign work orders to the Engineering team.
• Monitor and follow up on Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedules to ensure tasks are completed on time.
• Maintain engineering records, logs, reports, and other department documentation.
• Update the maintenance system with completed work orders and job status.
• Liaise with Housekeeping, Front Office, Security, and other departments regarding maintenance requirements.
• Prepare purchase requisitions and monitor the availability of engineering spare parts and supplies.
• Coordinate contractor visits, service appointments, and annual maintenance schedules.
• Maintain records of equipment manuals, warranties, service reports, and compliance certificates.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly engineering reports for management review.
• Assist with staff attendance, leave records, duty schedules, and overtime documentation.
• Record utility meter readings and maintain energy consumption reports.
• Handle department emails, phone calls, and administrative correspondence in a timely manner.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing the required documents.
• Ensure compliance with hotel policies, safety procedures, and brand standards.
• Carry out other administrative duties assigned by the Chief Engineer or Director of Engineering when required.
