Job summary

Akkodis is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager in Abu Dhabi to lead the forging and metallurgy activities for aerospace components. The role acts as the technical authority for the plant, directing engineering decisions across forging processes, materials, and qualification and ensuring production readiness.

The candidate will shape process development, industrialisation and continuous improvement while collaborating with Production, Quality and Supply Chain, and external OEMs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Metallurgy, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Significant hands-on experience in forging process development and metallurgy within aerospace/manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of titanium and nickel-based superalloys and related heat treatment.
• Experience with hot forging, closed-die forging, ring rolling and defect analysis.
• Proven ability to lead engineering teams, with senior technical decision‑making and quality-system exposure.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering function supporting forged aerospace and aero-engine components.
• Act as a senior technical authority across forging, metallurgy, process engineering and manufacturing decisions.
• Lead root-cause analysis and resolution of complex manufacturing defects and non-conformities.
• Drive NPI, production readiness, first-part qualification and process validation activities.
• Work closely with Production, Quality, Supply Chain and external suppliers/OEM stakeholders.
