Job description

We are seeking a visionary Engineering Lead to spearhead our technical efforts, guide our development teams (both in-house and external freelancers), and collaborate closely with founders and product management. This individual must demonstrate strong technical expertise across modern front-end and back-end technologies.

Responsibilities :

• Lead, mentor, and manage Backend and Frontend engineering teams, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
• Oversee management and coordination of outsourced developers and freelancers as needed.
• Actively participate in the recruitment and scaling of technical teams.
• Drive architectural decisions, choosing technologies that balance current product needs with future scalability.
• Collaborate closely with founders and product managers to rapidly ideate, prototype, and validate technical solutions.
• Outside of management actively participates in product development in the team.
• Foster an agile, flexible work culture conducive to experimentation and iterative improvements.
• Evaluate and potentially integrate advanced technologies, including AI and LLMs, to enhance our product capabilities (experience is a plus but not required)
• Experience with React, PHP, and Node.js is a plus.

Requirements

• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong proficiency in front-end and back-end development, with hands-on experience in technologies currently used in our stack (e.g., React and PHP), and the ability to adapt to new tools and frameworks as needed.
• Familiarity with AI / ML technologies and LLMs is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Experience developing and managing marketplace platforms.
• Exceptional communication skills to clearly articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Comfortable operating in startup environments with rapid development cycles, flexibility, and iterative product evolution.
• Prior experience in healthcare technology or related fields is advantageous.
