Job summary

Higher Colleges of Technology in the UAE seeks an Engineering Instructor to deliver lectures and assessments for Diploma level courses, while setting up and maintaining laboratories and workshops. You will demonstrate machine operation, oversee safety, and support students and faculty in lab activities.

The role combines instructional delivery with hands-on lab responsibilities, requiring strong technical acumen, teamwork, and flexibility to travel between HCT campuses as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Master’s degree in a related engineering field.
• Membership to a relevant internationally recognized professional association is desirable.
• Training certificates or diplomas in workshop practices are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lectures and assessments to Diploma level courses and supervise lab work.
• Develop and utilize educational technology resources to enhance instruction.
• Assist in development and maintenance of teaching labs and equipment.
• Support faculty and students in using machines and tools in the laboratory.
• Maintain safety and housekeeping procedures within the laboratory.
• Travel to other HCT colleges for meetings, workshops or conferences as required.
• Contribute to the development of HCT by adhering to policies and participating in activities.
