Engineering Director

As a Director of Engineering, you will lead multiple cross-functional teams, driving the development of world-class consumer applications, optimizing engineering performance, and scaling the company’s technical capabilities to new heights.

As the Director of Engineering, your key responsibilities will include:

Driving Engineering Excellence

1. Overseeing 5-6 cross-functional development teams, ensuring high-quality product delivery.
2. Establishing and tracking engineering performance metrics to drive efficiency and accountability.
3. Ensuring technical standards, including code quality, security, and managing technical debt.

Strategic Leadership & Roadmap Execution

1. Aligning engineering goals with business strategy, collaborating with C-suite executives and stakeholders.
2. Leading roadmap planning and execution, continuously improving development processes to prioritize customer needs.
3. Partnering with Product and Data teams to make data-driven technology decisions.

Scaling & Structuring High-Impact Teams

1. Hiring, structuring, and scaling engineering teams across global tech hubs.
2. Mentoring and coaching engineering leaders, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
3. Leading recruitment, onboarding, and team expansion to support rapid business growth.

Technology Innovation & Consumer Experience

1. Spearheading technical transformations, including digital migration and innovation strategies.
2. Optimizing the development of consumer-facing applications (e-commerce, marketplaces, ordering systems).
3. Collaborating with operations teams to enhance brick-and-mortar technology solutions.

To excel in this role, you should have:

Strong leadership experience in engineering, managing high-performing technical teams.
Expertise in consumer-facing applications, including marketplaces, ordering systems, and e-commerce.
Experience leading engineering in hybrid tech & operations environments (e.g., food, logistics, or retail).
Proven success scaling teams in startups, scaleups, and large enterprises.
Strong knowledge of technical strategy implementation, including digital transformation and migrations.
