POSITION SUMMARY

The following are specific responsibilities and contributions critical to the successful performance of the position:

Responsibilities

• Write and keep all Department correspondences
• Maintain all drawings/catalogues for hotel equipment
• Maintain all files required as per the Engineering S.O.P
• Prepare requests for purchased materials, keep copies, and follow up on department expenses
• Record energy consumption readings on a daily basis
• Follow up on issuing and keeping the P.M. daily schedules, papers, and the department associate attendance sheet
• Perform all filing for the Department and attend the main workstation of ESPRESSO
• All work to be carried out thoroughly, professionally, and safely
• Understand and conform to corporate Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Employees handbook, and department administration procedures
• Adhere to high standards of personal hygiene and dress according to the company dress code as some guest contact will occur
• Attend daily trainings and implement Marriott standards and culture
• Care for all hotel assets, tools, and supplies
• Be fully responsible for the Engineering store
• Report difficulties/shortcomings and requests to the Director of Engineering or Supervisors as appropriate
• Offer required help to all colleagues
• Perform all works designated by the department management

Adhere to quality expectations and standards. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance; heavier lifting or movement tasks with assistance. Move up and down stairs, service ramps, and/or ladders. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Enter and locate work-related information using computers. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Related Work Experience: Some experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation, and painting
• Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance is a plus
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience
