Job summary

GAL Global Aerospace Logistics in Abu Dhabi seeks an Engineer - Technical Library to manage data deliverables, control access, and distribute Technical Publications under GAL control.

The role supports operations, validates currency of materials, updates manuals, and ensures electronic media loading; you will supervise staff and drive continuous improvement in line with international best practices.

Experience with Edoc, IETP, and ETP software is a plus for this position.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering technical data to support operations.
• Familiar with publishing, manuals and data verification.
• Ability to collect, register, upload and sustain technical data.
• Knowledge of maintaining currency and applicability of materials.
• Experience with audit, risk and quality standards.
• Leadership experience managing staff and development.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day technical data delivery to support operations.
• Monitor and follow up technical publications and manuals requirements to meet internal or customer needs.
• Collect, register, upload and sustain technical data collection.
• Verify currency of technical material prior to issuing to a function or customer.
• Receive SBs, ADs and verify applicability before internal processing.
• Evaluate incoming requests and prepare purchase requests for new publications or updates.
• Monitor and update inventory and report status and discrepancies to the Library Supervisor.
• Ensure technical data is loaded to Edoc, IETP, ETP software.
• Stimulate subordinates and identify opportunities for continuous improvement across processes.
• Maintain pilots and first-line manuals updated.
• Ensure reports are built, maintained and distributed as required.
• Report data deficiencies to OEM and monitor until updates are implemented.
• Control technical publications and maintain evidences of updates.
• Maintain lists of backshops updated per internal process.
• Ensure compliance with Audit, Risk and quality standards.
• Lead and manage staff performance, recruitment, training and development.

Overview

Responsible for Managing all data deliverables, Control Access and distribution of Data from the Libraries under GAL Control GAL has implemented data Management successfully across Multiple contracts providing accurate scheduling status revision services for Technical Publications.

• 1. Provide Day to day Technical DATA delivery service as required to support operational needs
• 2. Monitor and follow up the technical publications and Manuals requirements to meet internal fucntions and /or Customer needs.
• 3. Collect ,register,upload and sustain Technical data collection.
• 4. Verify ,validate,the currency of the technical material prior to issuing to a function or customer.
• 5. Receive SBs,ADs,etc and Verify the Applicability Prior to follow internal process.
• 6. Evaluate incoming requests and prepare purchase requests for new Publications ,or updates as coordinated and found applicable by line of Authority.
• 7. Monitor and updates the inventory and report status and discrepancies to the Library Supervisor.
• 8. Ensure that the Technical data is loaded to electronic media (Edoc) ,IETP,ETP Softwares.
• 9. Stimulate subordinates and contribute the identification nof opportunities for continuous improvement ,cost value,of sections systems,process and practices taking into account the international best practices,imporovement of business processes ,cost reduction,and productivity improvements.
• 10. Maintain Pilots and first line Manuals updated.
• 11. Ensures all reports are built and maintained and distributed as required.
• 12. Report technical Data deficiencies to OEM and Monitor Until updates has been implemented.
• 13. Control Technical Publications and Maintain evidences of updates as per internal Process.
• 14. Maintain Lists of different backshops updated as per internal process.
• 15. Manages full compliance with Audit, Risk and quality standards so that all employees satisfactorily meet and receive sign off from quality and Internal Audit requirements and investigations
• 16. Leads and manages subordinates by overseeing the staff's performance, recruitment, training and development to ensure high levels of engagement and competence
