Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Engineer - Structural to supervise a project in Dubai. In this role, you will oversee and manage structural engineering aspects of new internal roads and the rehabilitation of existing roads.

Job Duties

  • Supervise and coordinate structural engineering activities on construction sites
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure adherence to approved plans and quality standards
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to resolve technical issues
  • Follow up on inspections for installations and review inspectors' performance regularly
  • Update progress reports for all assigned works to the project manager
  • Review updated records to form as-built records
  • Check and coordinate all assigned services
  • Coordinate with Head Office (Design) for material reviews and design queries
  • Implement and maintain quality control procedures for structural elements
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members
  • Participate in client meetings and presentations to discuss project progress and address concerns

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred)
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in structural engineering and supervision, preferably in construction
  • Proficiency in structural analysis software such as AutoCAD or similar tools
  • Strong knowledge of UAE building codes, regulations, and industry standards
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects
  • Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Exceptional technical report writing and communication skills
  • Experience managing large-scale construction projects
  • Deep understanding of building materials, methods, and quality control processes
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment
  • Willingness to travel within the UAE
