About The Role

This role purpose is to perform inspections and tests to ensure that materials and products meet quality standards and reviews the implementation of quality assurance criteria and processes. Satisfies the customer by completing the inspection, identifying and resolving inspection problems, establishing high level of confidence with regards to the materials and products purchased by the customer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintains quality to the required standards and directs initiatives.
  • Ensure all the necessary updated technical documentation, especially Inspection Assignment Package and Inspection Assignment Sheet to perform the inspection activity is present / available at hand.
  • Use statistical quality control methods through monitor and record.
  • Ensure the use of appropriate instruments and tools in conducting test and check.
  • Ensure vendor's equipment's, instruments and tools used are properly calibrated and requiring the vendor proof with valid calibration certificates.
  • Require vendors are complete adherence to quality assurance policies, procedures of the project and applicable standards/codes.
  • Ensure the vendor is acting based on approved Inspection Test Plan or Quality Plan.
  • Ensure vendor's compliance to approved work procedures during checking and testing.
  • Verify the manufacturing activities are carried out in accordance with all the technical and commercial requirements of the contract and supply purchase order.
  • Ensure in-process and final test results are properly recorded and documented.
  • Track and notify of any non-compliance to work procedures or non-conforming products, requiring, and verifying corrective action taken by the vendor.
  • Resolves Quality Issues by Identifying problems, Examining solution options, and Implementing corrective action plan.
  • Evaluate all results through visual inspection methods (confirmation of identification, segregation, and removal of non-conforming materials).
  • Determine status of inspection requirements, check if all required inspection and tests points are completed, reviewed the manufacturing record book for completeness of all test records required based on the approved Quality Record Book Index.
  • Countersign the certificates prepared by the vendor after the completion of the tests, certifying that the results of the tests performed in his presence are true, that the tools and instruments used for the tests are suitable and that the procedures followed for the performance of these tests are those prescribed by the codes and by the project specifications.
  • After the vendor have satisfactory complies all the requirements: recommended and endorse the packing list or prepare & issue inspection release certificates.
  • Observe the quality dimensions of service, understand and follow organizational standard of performance and conduct, procedures, and instructions, refer to: DMES Inspection Division Orientation Manual, and Client Project Specific Work Instructions and Procedures.
  • Assess individual competencies and initiate improvements on the required competencies on the jobs.
  • Benchmark state-of-the-art practices of the trade, this includes improving for the betterment of skills in doing inspection, coordination, presiding pre-inspection meeting and report making.
  • Accomplishing Daily Inspection Activities Status and Inspection Status Log and / or Flash Reports and Inspection Reports.
  • Logging: organizing records of inspections documents such as issued Release Notes, Non-Conformances Reports and Quality Memorandum according to Projects, Vendors and Purchase Orders.
  • Always comply with all applicable legal requirements, HSE policies and procedures, client's HSE procedures and practice.
  • Maintain personal work areas tidy and hazard free and report any deviation / fault / hazard immediately to the location manager / Head of Operations / Projects.
  • Report immediately any newly identified hazard and participate in division suitable operational control to eliminate / minimize the pertinent risk.
  • Maintenance and inspection arrangements on client premises.
  • Communicate to site representatives any unsafe work practice or condition and opportunities for important of HSE practice.
  • Comply with client's site-specific regulations.
  • To STOP work in case of any unsafe practice at works noticed and report DMES as well as site representative to take appropriate action.
  • Prepares and submits inspection reports to customer on time by:
  • Collect, analyze, and summarizing data.
  • Make any necessary recommendations when needed and required.
  • Clarify of findings Clear description of findings and necessary requirements.
  • Present the details of inspection performed (stage/interim, final) by typing it on the right inspection reporting format set by the client.
  • Observe the timing of submission of reports as required.
  • Inspection done within the allocated timeframe.
  • Time taken to deliver the report to the coordinator.
  • Share Information and Knowledge Management.

Required Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma Engineering.
  • CSWIP 3.1 / AWS CWI - Welding Inspection.
  • BGAS Gr. 2 / NACE Painting Level 2.
  • NDE (ASNT / PCN) Level II in RT, PT, MT, UT and VT.
  • Well English Language skills.
  • Bachelor's degree with min. 10 years experience.
