Job Description

Role Purpose:

• Lead engineering services to ensure smooth plant operations and achieve plant efficiency targets.
• Drive innovative product development aligned with market trends, technology, and business goals.
• Oversee tool room and design-to-manufacturing execution, ensuring alignment with operations and strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Design & Development

• Create solid and 3D models using SolidWorks and NX CAD for access covers and engineering castings.
• Conduct design calculations and prepare assembly drawings for simulations and testing.
• Perform virtual testing and design refinement using SolidWorks Simulation.
• Lead new design planning using CAD/CAM tools for pattern making and implement design adaptations for the KIZAD project.

Product Development & Market Alignment

• Develop innovative product designs tailored to the Kezad market, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Conduct market and user research, translating insights into actionable design concepts.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and marketing teams to deliver cohesive product solutions.
• Manage prototyping, testing, and iterative improvement cycles for new products.
• Stay updated with emerging design technologies and trends to maintain a competitive edge.

CNC Programming & Operation

• Create and modify G-codes for CNC and VMC machines using SprutCAM and MasterCAM.
• Oversee CNC operations including raw/finished material handling and routine maintenance.
• Ensure product planning integrates smoothly with CNC machining capabilities.

Pattern Shop & Manufacturing Support

• Provide engineering support for pattern making to ensure compliance and efficiency.
• Maintain a comprehensive pattern list and shop drawings.
• Ensure seamless coordination with CNC machines and pattern-making operations.

Project Management & Documentation

• Oversee project timelines and ensure milestone adherence.
• Prepare SAP codes for new and existing products.
• Maintain thorough documentation of design processes and revisions for audit readines

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in product design, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience within the Kezad or similar industrial zones is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD, with a strong portfolio showcasing previous designs.
• Familiarity with rapid prototyping techniques and materials, including 3D printing technologies.
• Strong project management skills with experience in Agile methodologies or similar frameworks.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in Arabic is a significant advantage.
