JOB PURPOSE:
Provide process engineering related services required within the functional role of process engineering team. Ensure technical quality, design integrity and safety in accordance with the process engineering codes and standards. Serves pan company clients inclusive of Brownfield projects, new fields projects, Assets and all other divisions within the company, covering oil and gas facilities of ADNOC Offshore. Development of Corporate Process Engineering Standards and in-house process engineering capabilities.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Job Specific Accountabilities
Perform Conceptual and Optimisation studies.
Carry out process engineering assessments to support Asset Operation requirements such as Plant Modification Requests (PMRs) and Engineering Work Requests (EWRs).
Participate in Site Survey to as build process documents as relevant to projects handled.
Prepare process engineering scope of work for Engineering Contractor /Consultant for studies and for various project phases (ASSESS, SELECT, DEFINE & EXECUTE).
Review Technical Bids from Engineering Contractors and prepare Technical Bid Evaluations.
Monitor and coordinate process engineering activities carried out by Consultants / EPC Contractors.
Review process engineering deliverables developed by Consultants / EPC Contractors.
Evaluation of deviations from standard codes or practices related to process design.
Participate in project Design Reviews and Safety Reviews (e.g. HAZID, HAZOP, PHSER, etc.).
Participate in Independent Project Review (IPR) and technical audits for the projects conducted by ADNOC offshore and other ADNOC group companies.
Participate as Subject Matter Expert in multi-discipline task forces and technical audits. - Job Description

Evaluation and selection of new technologies for process applications in the Company.
Participate in technical pre-qualification of contractors and vendors.
Assist in on-job training of young engineers and universities interns.

Provide input for preparation of the Section / Department budgets and assist in the implementation of the approved Budget and work plans to deliver Section objectives.

Implement approved Section / Department policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the Section’s / Department work programs in line with Company and International standards. - Performance Management

Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.
Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with ISO standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function. - Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability
Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices. - Reports
Provide inputs to prepare Section MIS and progress reports for Company Management.
COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal
Report to Process Engineering Team Leader for progress of assigned individual business objectives and all other technical issues.
Report to Project Engineering Managers / Team Leaders on progress of project activities as assigned.
Communications with all discipline engineers within Central Engineering Division to discuss all inter-disciplinary issues, project activities and respective discipline involvement and contribution.
External
Contact with contractors and vendors to define project scope, resolve technical issues and assist with preparations of deliverables.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Minimum Qualification
Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering Discipline.
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
5 - 6 years of experience, including at least experience in process engineering related to the Oil & Gas industry, which should be upstream offshore Oil & Gas projects.
Good understanding and experience of project life cycle from feasibility, FEED, EPC to commissioning and level of process input required in each stage.
Skilled application of process related software such as HYSYS, PIPESIM, Flarenet, OLGA, etc.
Proficient in English.
