Job Summary

A Field Service Technician will deliver customer service and support, continuously improving satisfaction, maximizing retention, and increasing profitability by reducing wastage. The role is fully responsible for HSE compliance and following work instructions while on site.

Responsibilities

• Perform service activities in offshore, shipyard, port, workshop, and other locations in accordance with company policies and safety standards.
• Investigate and troubleshoot product service issues, providing 24/7 on‑call emergency services as required.
• Support remote service operations and assist other technicians as needed.
• Complete paperwork, including field service reports, timecards, expense reports, and ad‑hoc project reports.
• Maintain and develop project documentation and reports.
• Conduct equipment inspections, provide technical evaluations, and propose solutions.
• Promote a safety‑first environment and investigate safety incidents.
• Communicate project status to managers and department heads.
• Report directly to the Field Service Manager or delegate.
• Track company assets on sites and ensure maintenance per contractor agreements.
• Comply with company policies, procedures, memoranda, instructions, and regional circulars.
• Execute NDT inspection of mechanical parts on jack‑up systems in accordance with procedures and drawings.
• Commission OTD systems, including installation, testing, and presenting to owners, surveyors and QA.
• Ensure assigned tasks are completed per plans and schedules.

Requirements

• Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree with support experience.
• Minimum 2–3 years of field experience servicing, troubleshooting, and installing equipment on offshore jack‑ups (jacking systems, deck cranes, skidders, anchor winches) in the oil & gas sector.
• Minimum 2–3 years of NDT inspection work.
• Experience with marine equipment for offshore jack‑up drilling rigs; Letourneau design knowledge is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel globally.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• PCN Level2 in PAUT, UT, ECT or TOFD (PAUT in multisector, in‑service certification).
