Job Description
  • Experienced in various medium to large-sized pump stations and storage tanks (Potable water, Firefighting, irrigation, sewage, stormwater, and drainage pump stations) on infrastructure projects.
  • Experienced in infrastructure plants such as wastewater treatment plants, sewage treatment plants, RO plants, and district cooling plants.
  • Sizing of mechanical process equipment including pumps, control valve sizing, storage tank sizing, head loss calculations, valve chambers, surge vessel sizing, NPSH calculations, HVAC calculations, chiller yard sizing, chilled water pump sizing, cooling towers, etc.
  • Prepare equipment schedule, pump room plan, elevations, site plan, and key plan of plants.
  • Hydraulic modelling using WANDA, WaterCAD, InfoWater, etc.
  • Heat load calculation using HAP.
  • Ability to work with the design lead and follow up the approval process interfacing with the project team, clients, and stakeholders.
  • An in-depth and strong understanding of Abu Dhabi / Dubai / UAE / KSA and Qatar Authority Guidelines is a must.
  • Experienced in Autodesk 2D, 3D, Revit MEP, and BIM and an in-depth understanding of relevant hydraulic software is a must.
  • Understanding of masterplan requirements in terms of plant footprints, coordination with wet, roads, transportation, landscape, and building teams.
  • Strong infrastructure engineering background with previous experience on infrastructure projects with technical report writing skills and developing specifications, data sheets.
  • Review / approve any key technical submittals related to plants.
  • Work towards digitalization skills, innovations, and improvements to manage workload and accomplish deliverables across individuals, teams, and projects.
  • Able to work with multiple teams with diverse backgrounds on geographically and culturally diverse teams.

  • Minimum Requirements: Design of mechanical systems and plants using Revit, MEP.
  • Experience and skills including ProjectWise, InfraWorks, Navisworks, BIM, etc.
  • More than 3-5 years of experience in infrastructure design only.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
