Qualifications

  • 10 years of experience with 5 years in UAE preferred.
  • Knowledge of Abu Dhabi standards and civil infrastructure.

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for obtaining approvals for materials submittal in all activities.
  • Responsible for preparing Asphalt mix designs of various types i.e. Base, Binder and wearing course, obtaining approvals from consultant/Engineers and ensuring the same to be produced from Asphalt plant.
  • Responsible for preparation of various concrete mix designs and conducting plant trials to ensure the quality of concrete mix.
  • Responsible for interaction with consultants and clients for day-to-day activities that take place at site regarding workmanship of the product quality standard maintained for the work.
  • Control of Non-Conforming product at site and inspection of all incoming materials to the site.
  • Ensuring maintenance of all Quality management documents and records, such as plans, Inspection, test records, and checklists.
  • Developing, modifying, testing, and evaluating materials.
  • Providing technical advice about the suitability of materials and diagnosing faults.
  • Advising on, planning, and organizing inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Overseeing operational quality control processes.
  • Liaising with suppliers, customers, and manufacturing/development staff.
  • Supervising technical staff.
  • Conducting and ensuring in-depth Fracture Analysis and Technical Reports.
  • Maintaining cycle time objectives within responsibility areas.
  • Addressing materials and process concerns from suppliers, manufacturing, and customers.
  • Offering material information and data to Engineering.
  • Updating material logs.
  • Testing at external sources.
  • Interpreting results, writing reports, and communicating with client representative engineers.
  • Analyzing product failure data and laboratory test results in order to determine causes of problems and develop solutions.
  • Conducting or supervising tests on raw materials or finished products to ensure their quality.
  • Designing and directing the testing and/or control of processing procedures.
  • Determining appropriate methods for construction of works.
  • Monitoring material performance and evaluating material deterioration.
  • Planning and implementing laboratory operations for the purpose of developing material testing procedures that meet project specifications and performance standards.
  • Reviewing material submittals and making recommendations for material selection based on specification objectives, such as strength, weight, heat resistance, electrical conductivity, and cost.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.

Aware of Abu Dhabi Standards and Regulations.

Aware of Roads, Structures, and Civil Infrastructure Works.

10 years experience overall, with 5 years experience in the UAE PREFERRED.
