About the Job:

Monitor and approve engineering procedures, plans, and schedules for the civil scope of work related to the Early Works Project. Oversee and approve contractor activities in civil and design aspects, acting as the company's civil engineering advisor. Ensure best practices in design and engineering are followed, supporting project phases from screening to detailed design, ensuring safety, cost-effectiveness, and technical soundness to meet project and company objectives.

Key Accountabilities:
  1. Serve as a technical civil engineering advisor, providing guidance to asset teams and support units.
  2. Coordinate communication and meetings with EPC contractors regarding civil/structural design requirements.
  3. Participate in project reviews, progress meetings, and coordination with contractors.
  4. Ensure compliance with HSE policies, quality standards, project specifications, and design changes.
  5. Recommend vendors and subcontractors for civil work to procurement.
  6. Review technical reports, value engineering studies, peer reviews, and major project reviews.
  7. Participate in design reviews across project phases to ensure compliance with civil and structural requirements.
  8. Lead screening, conceptual, and detailed design efforts for new field developments, supporting major project approval processes.
  9. Standardize civil and structural design practices, ensuring consistent application of codes and standards.
  10. Initiate studies for major structural changes or asset expansions.
  11. Investigate structural failures and support integrity assessments.
  12. Verify design integrity for FEED and detailed engineering of major projects.
  13. Support contractor pre-qualification processes technically.
  14. Assist in developing training programs aligned with ADNOC guidelines.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of civil engineering and project management experience in the UAE/GCC, preferably in oil, gas, or petrochemical sectors.
  • Professional certifications are advantageous.
