Job Description

JOB PURPOSE
The job holder is responsible for providing Analyzer Expertise in Instrumentation & Control Engineering to ensure the operational condition of all relevant equipment, supporting Borouge's operations and systems in accordance with OEM guides, engineering standards, ADNOC, AGES, and international standards.
This role includes acting as the Technical Authority for Analyzer systems across Borouge Plants, serving as the focal point for all analyzer-related projects, and ensuring analyzer performance and availability through established procedures and continuous improvements.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  1. Maintenance Programs and Planning
    • Develop and improve maintenance programs to enhance equipment reliability.
    • Lead major shutdown activities and contribute to budgeting and planning.
    • Review and update safety and operational procedures.
    • Assess improvement proposals to prioritize reliability initiatives.
  2. Technical Support & Troubleshooting
    • Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and design reviews.
    • Diagnose hardware and software issues with analyzers.
    • Provide field support and oversee contractor activities.
    • Lead calibration activities for critical analyzers.
  3. Compliance & Standards
    • Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety protocols.
    • Maintain detailed records and prepare audit reports.
    • Support certification and re-validation processes.
  4. Analyzers Excellence
    • Develop solutions to improve analyzer reliability.
    • Propose process improvements to reduce risks.
    • Implement advanced predictive maintenance techniques.
    • Lead initiatives for process and technology enhancements.
  5. Technical Coordination
    • Coordinate with ADNOC Group and within Borouge for seamless operations.
    • Act as the project focal point for analyzer-related projects.
    • Collaborate across departments for troubleshooting and process optimization.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Minimum Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation & Control, Electrical, Automation, or related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP.
  • Fluency in English, written and oral.

Minimum Experience & Skills

  • 5-8 years of experience with process analyzers in petrochemical/oil & gas/polymer industries.
  • Experience with various analyzers (gas chromatography, mass spectrometry, optical analyzers).
  • Leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of HSE policies, HAZOP, hazardous area classifications.
  • Expertise in troubleshooting and failure analysis.
  • Understanding of international standards and CMMS systems.

Professional Certifications (Preferred)

  • Certified Automation Professional (CAP) ISA
  • Certified Instrumentation Specialist (CIS) ISA
  • IEC 61511 Functional Safety Certification
  • Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) SMRP
  • Six Sigma Green Belt (optional)
