As part of Core42 Microsoft Cloud CoE Professional Services, the Engineer is responsible for the implementation and configuration of Azure cloud services, Microsoft Infrastructure services including Active Directory, Exchange, etc., and the Modern workplace including O365 services.
Responsibilities
- Implement, and maintain secure and scalable cloud infrastructure solutions for diverse industry verticals.
- Collaborate with stakeholders like project managers, architects, developers, and sysadmins to ensure successful implementation of cloud services by understanding cloud architecture specifications.
- Develop and implement cloud migration strategies, including assessing the feasibility and risks associated with transitioning applications and systems to the cloud.
- Evaluate and select appropriate Azure cloud technologies and platforms to meet the organization's needs and optimize performance.
- Configure, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud-based and on-premises systems.
- Deliver HLD, LLD, and Migration plans as part of project engagements and deliverables.
- Monitor and optimize cloud-based systems, identifying and resolving performance issues, and implementing necessary improvements.
- Focus on adding hands-on technical expertise, ensuring outcomes meet the highest technical and agile standards.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in cloud architecture and implementation, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
- Perform advanced problem determination and root-cause analysis.
- Be the SME on Core42's Cloud, including Azure and related technologies, for the project delivery team.
- Establish, develop, and manage long-term relationships based on trust and commitments.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Azure Cloud Implementation Engineer or similar role, with successful cloud solution implementations.
- Proven experience as a Microsoft Infrastructure Engineer, implementing solutions like Active Directory, Exchange, WSUS, ADFS, DNS, DHCP.
- Experience with Microsoft Modern workplace solutions, including O365, Intune, MS Defender.
- Proficient in cloud architecture design principles: scalability, availability, security.
- Experience with cloud migration strategies, tools, and risk assessment.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Azure DevOps.
- Knowledge of DR solutions and replication tools like Azure Site Recovery, Carbonite.
- Excellent problem-solving skills for analyzing complex technical issues.
Requirements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
- Relevant certifications, such as AZ-104: Microsoft Azure Administrator (Must).
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (Must).
Qualifications
- At least 5-7 years' experience as an Azure Implementation Engineer.
- At least 5+ years in a similar Azure Cloud Engineer role or related position.
- Understanding of cloud computing architecture, design, and implementation: IaaS, PaaS, SaaS.
- Experience in scripting: PowerShell, Azure CLI, Python.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools: Terraform, ARM, Bicep.
- Knowledge of security hardening and system performance tuning.
