Job description

Support And Analysis Engineering (SAE) Engineer assumes complete engineering responsibility for assigned company proposals, projects, investigations, aircraft & components reliability programs, and other activities under the guidance of the workplace supervisor. Operate within cross-functional teams (engineering, maintenance, quality, logistics, etc.) to achieve overall program objectives. Satisfy all sections and customer requirements, including customer satisfaction, cost, quality, and safety.

Will also be responsible for

  1. Provide engineering assistance, technical expertise, and guidance to the entire aircraft maintenance, servicing, inspection process, components, and system reliability, as well as procurement activities.
  2. Develop new or update existing maintenance procedures, guidance, repair schemes, instructions, and local modifications in accordance with company procedures.
  3. Provide technical support regarding manufacturer’s bulletins, service letters, and modifications analysis/review.
  4. Prepare technical reports and documentation necessary to satisfy customer and maintenance program requirements, including proposals, procedures, reports, and correspondence.
  5. Perform Root Cause Analysis, lifecycle asset analysis, and provide trending analysis on quality issues; calculate aircraft reliability performance parameters, such as MTBF and MTBUR from reliability databases.
  6. Investigate PQDR, MEC, Oil Analysis Discrepancy Feedback, and other technical reports to determine root causes, gather and analyze data, and implement corrective actions.
  7. Coordinate and participate in investigations related to customer complaints.
  8. Define maintenance requirements and justify acceptance limits to ensure compliance with standards.
  9. Review procurement documents for quality requirements and oversee incoming inspection plans, acceptance criteria, and nonconformance resolutions.
  10. Maintain technical liaison with OEMs, suppliers, contractors, test laboratories, and other groups through effective communication.
  11. Provide technical support for maintenance and workshop regarding CPC and OAP programs.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned by upper management.
  13. Assist in developing standard operating procedures and internal techniques.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical, or Avionics Engineering required.
  • A&P, FCC, or equivalent license preferred.
  • Master’s Degree in Aeronautical Engineering preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing, testing, maintenance, or modification of airframes, engines, avionics, or airframe systems.
  • Experience with fixed-wing and/or rotary-wing aircraft is preferred.
  • Experience in analyzing mechanical components and electronic equipment.
  • Knowledge of aircraft regulatory requirements and maintenance documentation.
  • Advanced computer skills, especially in condition monitoring, stress analysis, and design software.
