Job description

Provide contractual technical service and assist customers with problem solving support regarding Metito's products, applications, and solutions for assigned customer accounts. Ensure implementation of the Metito Service Standards at all client sites.

Function and Scope

Provide contractual technical service and assist customers with problem solving support regarding Metito's products, applications, and solutions for assigned customer accounts. Ensure implementation of the Metito Service Standards at all client sites.

Responsibilities and Duties

The following statements describe the general nature and level of work performed by employees in this job. They are not exhaustive, and employees may be asked to perform additional tasks within reason, at the request of their Supervisor or Manager.

  • Participate in design reviews, new application start-ups, and evaluations.
  • Assist in critiquing products for serviceability, performance, and reliability.
  • Advise clients regarding potential upgrades and improvements Metito can provide.
  • Plan and carry out service responsibilities within assigned customers.
  • Deliver service in line with the Application Quality Plan for assigned accounts.
  • Apply the Metito Service Standards to improve quality and document value provided to the customer.
  • Visit customer facilities and implement practical application of products.
  • Discuss and advise clients regarding sampling results.
  • Establish and meet customer needs when adjusting treatment programs and ensuring plant performance.
  • Assist in preparing reports on technical problems and solutions for product modifications or process changes.
  • Document value provided to the customer whenever possible.
  • Recommend changes in chemical dosages, flow rates, or equipment.
  • Supervise chemical cleaning and disinfecting operations.
  • Conduct on-site chemicals inventory.
  • Ensure P.O. submissions by clients and prompt deliveries.
  • Maintain standard equipment and reagents for laboratory and field analysis.
  • Prepare site/field analysis reports and maintain records of tests.
  • Coordinate with sales engineers regarding clients and sales activities.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve policies and procedures for increased customer satisfaction.
  • Utilize the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system as per Metito policy.
  • Stay updated on industry advances and educate sales engineers and customers as needed.
  • Ensure safety on the job and comply with Metito policies and local safety regulations.
  • Participate in the Metito QHSSE Management System and promote a safety culture.
  • Report QHSSE risks and impacts, and carry out tasks in accordance with standards and KPIs.

Competencies, Knowledge, and Experience

Specific knowledge of specialty chemical applications including:

  • Boiler
  • Cooling
  • Chilled Systems
  • Wastewater
  • Process Chemistries
  • Local geographical/customer exposure is beneficial.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Minimum Experience

  • At least 4 years in Water Treatment Service Support.

Formal Education

Degree in Chemical Engineering or related field. Training in focus areas is beneficial but not essential.
