Job summary

Aldar Education is seeking an experienced Social Studies Teacher to join Yas American Academy on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi Emirate. The ideal candidate has AP/IB/A-Levels teaching experience, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and a B.Ed. or PGCE.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in the relevant subject with a B.Ed. or PGCE Education qualification.
• Prior experience teaching AP, IB, or A-Levels in an international school is required.
• Experience with curriculum planning, assessment, differentiated instruction, and data-driven teaching decisions.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver Social Studies lessons aligned with the American curriculum.
• Differentiate instruction to meet varied abilities and needs.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop lessons, assessments, and curriculum activities.
• Monitor and document student progress and provide intervention as needed.
• Communicate student achievement and well-being to parents and carers.
• Lead extracurricular activities and participate in school events.
• Uphold the school’s behaviour policy and safeguarding standards.
