Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking a Junior Control Room Operator to oversee safe, environmentally compliant daily operation of the Energy from Waste system from the main control room. You will use the DCS and manual systems to control plant performance and ensure safety and efficiency in all tasks.

You will follow established procedures, perform routine inspections, and coordinate with Plant Operators and maintenance teams. Strong emphasis on safety, incident reporting, and continuous improvement is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in Energy from Waste or Power Plant Operations or Maintenance.
• Experience with resource recovery material handling and waste processing preferred.
• Boiler plant operations certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely shut down and restart production per plant procedures.
• Operate the plant from the main control room using DCS and manual systems.
• Record equipment changes and note abnormal conditions.
• Complete log sheets and raise maintenance work requests.
• Coordinate daily operations with Plant Operators and maintenance teams.
• Promote HSE standards and participate in safety campaigns.
