Job description

We are seeking an innovative and analytical Energy and Sustainability Engineer to lead initiatives that enhance energy efficiency, environmental performance, and regulatory compliance across our UAE operations. This role supports strategic sustainability goals through data-driven solutions and engineering best practices.

Key Responsibilities

1. Conduct energy audits and identify opportunities for energy and water efficiency improvements.
2. Develop and implement sustainability strategies aligned with local and global frameworks (e.g., LEED, Estidama, ISO 50001).
3. Monitor energy usage, emissions, and environmental KPIs across facilities and operations.
4. Support the integration of renewable energy systems and smart energy technologies.
5. Evaluate and recommend green building materials and sustainable design features.
6. Prepare sustainability reports, dashboards, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
7. Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and regulatory bodies on sustainability certifications and compliance.
8. Support ESG reporting and carbon footprint reduction initiatives.
9. Conduct lifecycle assessments and cost-benefit analyses for proposed solutions.
10. Stay updated on UAE environmental regulations, energy codes, and international best practices.

Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
2. 3-6 years of experience in energy management or sustainability engineering, preferably in the UAE.
3. Knowledge of energy modeling tools, building performance simulation, and audit methodologies.
4. Certifications such as LEED AP, CEM, or Estidama PQP are highly preferred.
5. Strong analytical skills with experience in data interpretation and performance optimization.
6. Familiarity with UAE energy regulations and green building codes (Dubai Green Building Code, Abu Dhabi Estidama).
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
8. Proficient in MS Excel, AutoCAD, energy simulation software (e.g., IES VE, EnergyPlus).
9. Ability to manage multiple projects and interact with cross-functional teams.
